HOT ! rare antique 19th century French blue opaline glass chinoiserie dressing table mirror

An exceptionally rare 19th-century French vanity mirror, featuring glowing turquoise blue opaline glass set into a sculptural bamboo-form brass frame. The mirror is shaped in a bevelled diamond form — a classic motif of the Belle Époque — suspended above a beautifully moulded opaline glass dish used originally to hold rings, hairpins, and toilette accessories.

The opaline bowl is deeply scalloped and finished with an ornate raised floral medallion on the underside, a detail associated with fine French decorative glass workshops of the late 1800s. The brass stand is hand-wrought with curled feet and a warm, time-softened patina that adds even more romance to the piece.

A dreamy and highly displayable object for a dressing table, vanity, bedroom vignette, or in a collection of French opaline. Very few survive with both the original mirror and the original fitted mount intact.
