A Beautiful Omega Constellation with a Beautiful Chamfered Silver Textured Dial, Applied Gold Furniture and a Day/Date Function, c.1968

Launched in 1957, the Omega Constellation range swiftly became a symbol of precision and luxury. Named to reflect Omega\'s expertise in crafting observatory-certified chronometers, the original models captivated with their elegant \'pie-pan\' dials and iconic \'claws\' or \'griffes\' at the case edges, signifying robustness and high water resistance. The 1982 Constellation Manhattan refined the design, introducing a sleeker profile and integrated bracelet, bolstering the collection\'s appeal among discerning enthusiasts.    Throughout the decades, the Constellation series has continually evolved, incorporating advancements like the Co-Axial escapement, which enhances timekeeping precision and longevity. The introduction of models for both men and women, along with varying materials — from stainless steel to precious metals — has ensured that the collection caters to diverse tastes. Today, the Omega Constellation remains a benchmark in horology, celebrated for its enduring design, technical superiority, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

What\'s on Offer

The Constellation range of watches is one of my personal favourites, there have historically been so many stylish variations and this is a stunning example. The silver dial has a chamfered edge which is beautifully executed and boasts gold baton hour markers with subtle onyx inserts and luminous pips. 

The super slim pencil hands correspond and also have onyx and luminous inserts. There is a day and date aperture at 3 o\'clock and the dial is completed by an applied Omega emblem and the synonymous Constellation signature with the gold star! The gold-capped tonneau-shaped case is in nice condition and has a nice presence on the wrist. To the caseback, you will note the observatory emblem with 8 stars as one would expect to see on a Constellation. The chamfer detail on the dial is rather rare and paired with the beautiful textured silver it is an absolutely stunning watch!
